Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)

Lavender has been cultivated for centuries across Europe. With its luscious aromatic scent it is classically used in perfumery and soap. Though many synthetic or hybrid lavender scents exist, we use only fine quality steam distilled true lavender.*

Red Hibiscus Flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa)

Also known as Roselle, Red Hibiscus is traditionally used in Africa and the Carribean to make a pleasant nutritive tea rich in vitamin C and minerals. The powdered flowers are incorporated in this soap as an antioxidant preservative.*

Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis)

The use of sweet almonds for skin care goes back several thousand years in the Mediterranean region. Almonds are rich in protein, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A and E. Traditionally used in soaps and shampoos, this oil yields a bubbly lather.*

Red Clover Flower Extract (Trifolium pratense)

Red clover flowers, a favorite food of bees and cattle, are abundant in bioflavonoids, saponins and minerals. It is used in this soap for its cleansing properties. We are now cultivating this lovely herb in our South Wedge gardens.*

Fantastic for cleansing all skin of all types, South Wedge Botanical Soap contains no animal by-products, no synthetic fragrance, and no detergents. The base soap contains saponified food grade oils of Rice Bran (Oryza sativa), Palm (Elaeis guineensis) and Coconut (Cocos nucifera) for a full balanced lather. Only the purest grade of sodium hydroxide is used in our soap production. Essential oil content is less than 1.0%. This handcrafted soap is quality tested for consistency, aged, then packaged in biodegradable cellulose film.
